Having only
one battery for your boat would be a good choice if you are into ‘reserved’ and
simple boating activities. However, if you want to maximize your marine
battery’s capacity and unleash your boat’s performance in full swing, then,
using 2 marine batteries for your boat would be a far better choice.
Using and
hooking up 2 marine batteries for your boat is not as difficult as it seems.
The easiest way to do it is in parallel, and the safest way to hook up 2
batteries in your boat is to wear protective gear such as safety goggles and
gloves.
Now, I will
teach you how to install a second battery in a boat by explaining simple and
easy-to-understand steps you can follow. The first thing to do is to attach one
battery’s positive side to the other battery’s positive side through a use of a
cable, as well as fasten its attachment by using nuts.
After
attaching the 2 marine batteries’ positive sides, connect one marine battery’s
negative side to the other marine battery’s negative side by still using a
cable and fastening its attachment through using nuts. After which, assess if
the batteries are already hooked up correctly by using a meter.
